Population Features of Visually Impaired Children and Their Parents Living in Hungary

This exploratory research (2014–2019) was conducted among visually impaired children aged 0–14 years and their parents. The paper focuses on the crucial features of healthcare pedagogical services provided for analyses situation parents raising them. In order to explore population characteristics in Hungary, we relied two major data sources: census Hungarian Central Statistical Office between 1990–2016, examination documents Corps Pedagogical Services Visually Impaired Children 2009–2013. included 1,432 children. survey these children’s parents, semi-structured, individual interviews. We investigated retrospective narratives 39 mothers 29 fathers through narrative categorical content analysis performed using model game theory humans environment, whilst also took into consideration international methodological context researching Results suggest that is under transformation: groups based classical interpretation visual performance are being replaced by new governed needs.
